Hosted My First Vision Board Party and This Is How It Went

I’m unstoppable in 2025 because I didn’t attend just one vision board party, but two. Yes, I’m popular.

My friend Makenzie threw the first one, where our group of friends (husbands included) created vision boards and even presented them with walk-up songs. Iconic.

It was such a valuable experience, and I loved how it held everyone accountable for chasing the dreams on their heart.

The best thing about vision board parties? You can throw one whenever. Start of the year, new season, fresh work goals—whatever makes sense. I decided to host a Brunch & Boards vision party the following day with my current and former co-workers. I cooked breakfast, provided iced coffee and mimosas, and of course, the playlist. I used Paperless Post for the easy aesthethic invites, grabbed fresh flowers, and set the mood for a cozy, creative morning.

Here’s what I served, how I set it up, and what made it actually fun.

Details

Breakfast

  • The viral Tiktok Cinnamon Rolls (everyone always requests that I make these)

  • Bacon (was a hit! Here’s my recipe.)

  • Turkey sausage

  • Eggs

  • Berries

  • Yogurt and granola

Bar

  • Orange juice

  • Tropicana Refreshers Pineapple Mango (was a hit)

  • Prosecco

  • My friend Itzy brought Henry Varnay Brut and it was so much better!

  • Starbucks Unsweetened Medium Roast Iced Coffee

  • Chobani Sweet Cream Dairy Creamer

Activity

I mentioned in the invite for them to just bring themselves and a computer or iPad with Pinterest as the place to build our vision boards.

After we finished eating, we sat together and chatted over this playlist for 30-45 minutes.

Presentations

This part was the most fun part for me- to hear my friends share the secrets of their imaginations. It felt so spiritual, like I could feel the heart in the room of everyone cheering for each other.

These presentations weren’t timed. People shared as they felt led. We gave each other encouragement and networked - it was genuinely so awesome!

How To Host Your Own Vision Party

A vision board party is a great opportunity to set intentions, manifest goals, and cultivate community. By bringing people together to visualize their dreams, you create an inspiring space where motivation and creativity flourish.

Setting the Scene

Create a cozy space with room to spread out. Soft lighting, a solid playlist, and easy snacks set the tone—this is about dreaming big, not dressing up.

Gathering Supplies

Go the digital route with Pinterest or grab the traditional magazines, scissors, glue, and poster boards. Markers, stickers, and washi tape, too. Ask guests to bring images or quotes that inspire them, and if you have a printer, even better for last-minute additions.

Guiding the Process

Invite everyone to start with a quick reflection and brain dump—personal, professional, whatever’s on their heart. Encourage big dreams, no limits. Once everyone starts working, turn up the playlist and let the conversation flow.

Sharing & Closing

If they’re up for it, have guests share their boards—it builds accountability and connection. Wrap things up with encouragement and a reminder: a vision board is just the start. As Joel A. Barker puts it,

Vision without action is merely a dream...vision with action can change the world.
