“Joey I gotta kn-kn-kn-know, what-what's your fan-ta-ta-sy?” - Kelsey A., probably.
Week 9 (also known as Fantasy Suites) took place in Tulum and began with a date between Rachel and Joey. They took a dive, literally and figuratively. Unfortunately Rachel endured a diving injury to her jaw that impeded her ability to communicate with Joey and sent them to the hospital. Thankfully her x-ray was negative and she seemed to feel better. That night Rachel shared that she felt bad about derailing the day they had planned and had hoped to open up to him more. Joey dismissed the idea that she had done anything wrong calling it a freak accident, which it was. She then opened up sharing that she had been cheated on before, and knew that’s not what Joey was doing, but that it was difficult for her knowing he had connections with the other women. Joey understood this and thanked her for being honest about it. It was a happy ending to an otherwise disastrous date. Rachel accepted the invitation to the fantasy suite and told Joey that she is in love with him.
Next up was Kelsey A. and they set sail on a romantic boat ride. There was a clear and obvious difference between their connection and what we had just seen with Rachel. Not to say that Joey and Rachel don’t have a connection, but it’s just different with Kelsey A., it’s sexier with Kelsey A., and hey, it’s fantasy suites. At dinner Kelsey A. told Joey that she was in love with him, and Joey told her that he was falling in love with her and had been for awhile. That seemed relevant! They were also playing Disney princess music in the background of these scenes. I must admit, Daisy doubts crept into my mind! Kelsey A. accepted the invitation to the fantasy suite, and this date could not have gone any better.
Finally, it was Daisy’s turn. She went on a four wheeler ride with Joey and told us how intrigued she is with him. They PG-13 showered off together on camera, and got ready for dinner. Joey told Daisy that he fears people fall in love with the idea of him but not actually him. Daisy understood and related to this and they shared an intimate moment before Joey told her that he was falling in love with her and she accepted the invitation to the fantasy suite. We even got a little side butt touch that felt spicier than what we saw prior.
This was all standard fantasy suites protocol, and then Kelsey A. decided to leave a note at Joey’s door that said “we need to talk”. Joey did not see this coming, we did not see this coming, we’re not even sure that Kelsey A. saw this coming (it seemed staged). And with that, the episode was over. WTF! No rose ceremony, and now we wait two weeks because of The Women Tell All. At least Maria will be there.

Jealousy, Jealousy
This season more than most has been affected by “the other girls”. It cost us Maria and it might cost us Kelsey A. as well. Poor Joey can’t seem to understand that it’s not really a problem with him, instead taking these things as confirmation of his greatest fear of not being “chosen”. Joey, if you’re reading this (thanks for being here for the right reasons) I’d just want to say to you that you’re the mother freaking Bachelor. You’re the man, and you will be chosen. Now, don’t repost this if Maria is going to be the Bachelorette.
