In week two of The Bachelorette we found Jenn looking for her mate down under… in Melbourne.

First up was the group date where everybody just kind of walked around. Nothing much was happening, so Devin stepped up and pulled Jenn aside for an ice cream. Nobody appreciated that, and they all made a point to attack Devin later at a comedy show. Later in the evening Aaron confronted Devin, by calling him Dylan, but it would have been a better idea to let that dog lie. Devin barked back by interrupting Aaron’s solo time for yet another ice cream with Jenn. Devin is the kind of guy you love to hate and not just because he’s a clown, but because he’s a legit threat. While the Aaron and Devin beef stole the show, it was Grant who took the group date rose. He seems like a genuine and strong contender himself.

Then it was Marcus who got the first one-on-one of the season. The date was totally casual, they went skydiving. Jenn was terrified (understandably), while Marcus was sharing wise words like, “Jumping out of a plane is a lot like falling in love”. After they took the leap and made it back to the ground they shared a little smooch and you could tell Jenn felt comfortable. That evening at dinner Marcus opened up about his experience serving as an army ranger and being seriously injured in battle. Jenn seems to connect with Marcus and clearly appreciates his vulnerability.

Group date number two was a safari photoshoot with various Australian wildlife. The group took turns posing with Jenn as they held spiders, lizards, and snakes. Sam M. looked like a crocodile wrangling snack and a half and Jenn couldn’t hide her enthusiasm about it. Dude is hot. Dylan got the bonus time for stepping up to hold the big snake Jenn was afraid of.

Back at the hotel the Aaron and Devin drama continued. In his insecurity, Aaron gave Devin a book called Principles for Self-Growth. This was p e t t y. When they write the book on this season, Devin will be on the right side of history.

At the cocktail party, Devin of course grabbed time with Jenn first. With the exception of the more secure dudes, most of the guys took issue with that because they felt Devin had misled them when he said he would “respect their time”. Thomas N. pulled Devin away from Jenn to communicate this issue, but he just came off like a baby.

Not Like Us

The boy's effort to “Drake” Devin is a lost cause. Attempts to bury him are futile. This is a beef you will not win, Aaron. Devin is the Kendrick Lamar of not being here to make friends. You’re just not like that. Go J. Cole, or risk national humiliation. The true standout of being here for the right reasons is, Grant? But Sam M. is so hot right now. The euphoria of having several great men to choose from, lucky Jenn.
