The most anticipated Bachelor Finale ever (according to Jesse Palmer) promised an ending we had “never seen before” and began with the girls meeting Joey’s family. Daisy went first and made a strong impression especially with Joey’s sisters and mother. Daisy expressed her certainty in Joey and their relationship to a degree that we hadn’t heard her say to this point. She went as far as to say that if he got down on one knee she would say yes.
Next up was Kelsey A. who led with the night one voodoo doll incident which obviously went well with Joey but less well with his mother who said, “oh no”. Joey’s sisters described Kelsey A. as having “more energy” but pointed out that when asked if she would say yes to Joey she said “I think so”. This made Joey very nervous in juxtaposition to how Daisy’s confidence eased his concerns.
Surprisingly it was Joey who couldn’t give Daisy the reassurance she was looking for on their one-on-one. On the date they performed some sort of spiritual ritual where they threw their wishes into a fire. Daisy’s wish was to continue to learn about each other and see where this goes. Joey’s wish was that they would both be happy whether it was with each other or without. Ouch. At dinner Daisy went full send and told Joey she was in love with him. He responded by saying that was nice to hear. It would probably be nice for Daisy to hear too, Joe! Daisy picked up on his lack of foreclosure and told us she didn’t think he was choosing her.
Joey’s time with Kelsey A. was much less intense. They enjoyed a spa day massaging each other and making out (their specialty!) while Daisy brooded in her hotel room. At this point the Rosetradamus was thinking about ordering a new crystal ball, it seemed that Kelsey A. had this in the bag.
The day of the proposal, things started to get weird. Daisy went to Kelsey’s room to ask how her time was with Joey. They recapped their experiences that week with great honesty. This all but confirmed Daisy’s fear that she was not going to be chosen.
They decided to ride to the scene of the proposal together making Bachelor history in the process. Daisy came out first in classic runner-up fashion donning a bright red dress (giving Bachelorette) and proceeded to tell Joey she knew it wasn’t her. Joey didn’t really have to say anything and she walked herself out. Kelsey A. followed in a white dress (giving wife) and Joey told her that he was in love with her and asked her to marry him. Kelsey A. said yes!
Rose Recap
We messed up. We know that. We fell one (final) rose short of our season goal of 90% rose prediction accuracy. We bet on Daisy and we did not come up roses.
Season Accuracy: 88.9% 🔮(48/54)
Seeing Stars
This season of the Bachelor was a strong one. We got not one but two stars in Maria and Daisy that didn’t win and will likely be a part of Bachelor nation for years to come. While it was not the Rosetradamus’s best effort, the franchise seems to be in good hands otherwise. As for me, a new crystal ball is officially in the mail and we will be back here (for the right reasons) come summertime for Jenn’s season of the Bachelorette! Cheers.
